Deane’s Auto & Truck Repair is amazing! Highly recommend!
I was traveling 6+ hours to Philadelphia and was 2.5 hours into the trip when I was forced to pull over when I noticed smoke billowing out of the back of my truck. I drove to the nearest exit (Exit 67 on I-84) and parked in a Burger King parking lot, angrily scrolling through Google to find a local garage where I could bring my F250. I called Deane’s Auto & Truck Repair because it was the closest and I hoped I could get in to be seen. Bob Deane answered the phone. I explained my situation and told him I felt safe driving the truck to the shop and he told me he could get me in as soon as I arrived.
I sat in the waiting area and chatted with Barbara while Bob diagnosed the issue; she was extremely nice to speak with. Bob checked in every hour to let me know how it was going and what he thought the issue might be. After a test drive, he determined the probable cause and talked through my available options. They told me that they would make sure to get me where I was going one way or the other and they both seemed genuinely concerned making sure I was taken care off.
We agreed on a plan that and I left the shop grateful that I’d been fortunate enough (given the circumstances) to break down in Bob and Barbara’s area. I can’t think of any time before that I’ve ever been treated so respectfully, professionally and kindly (let alone by a repair shop) and can’t thank Bob and Barbara enough.
Nobody ever wants to be in a situation where they are broken down, hundreds of miles away from home and at the mercy of an unscrupulous mechanic. I can tell you from experience that Bob and Barbara were a genuine pleasure to work and this experience will stay with me for a long time.
Highly recommend (again)!
